Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a contact team sport played between two teams using a small rubber ball and a long-handled stick called a crosse or lacrosse stick. Lacrosse is one of the oldest team sports in North America and is Canada’s national summer sport.

The Box Lacrosse competition for the 2021 MIG will consist of both male and female teams in two age groups.

For specific information regarding the rules and regulations that will be followed for the 2021 MIG, please refer to the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Rulebook and the Sport Technical Package.
